How to Make Everything Fit Inside Your RV

As we all know, there isn’t a lot of space inside an RV.

That means you have to maximize your interior space and more importantly, only bring what you need. Here are a few tips that will help you organize your RV.

Firstly, do not bring so much stuff! Remember last summer, there were probably a few clothing or kitchen items that were never used. There are quite a few things that stay around unused in the summer that you could do without, or in the kitchen for example, you could find a way to work around not having that particular item. The grilled cheese maker comes to mind. Just use a pan.

It can also be a good idea to use baskets for putting in things that they to move around, like notepads or pens, and sealable containers that can be stacked for dry food. Instead of having cabinets, use hanging shelves and hooks. Speaking of hooks, you can always use the walls of your RV to install sticky hooks that can hold cloth, towels, and a bunch of other stuff as well. In the bedroom, by hanging shelves for socks and shoes.

Also, try to purchase as many collapsible items as possible. By that we mean collapsible dishwashing racks, collapsible laundry baskets, and collapsible ladders. Also, by things that can fit underneath the counter, like a smaller trash can (instead of having sitting in the open).

Finally, to make life aboard the RV easier, try and make sure everything has a designated spot that doesn’t change from year to year, and try and buy smaller, camping-designed pots, pans, utensils and burners. You can always have a few items that will work well for a larger gathering, but ultimately, you do not need home-size pans and pots for cooking for the family.
